Everyone has heard that creators use teams to handle messages, and nobody quite knows how to ask about it without it sounding like an accusation. It's a fair question. Here's a straight answer, including the parts that don't flatter me.
The honest version
Me, most of the time. Not every message ever sent from my account at four in the morning — I'm not going to claim that, and I'd be a bit suspicious of anyone who does.
The conversations that go anywhere are mine. The ones I remember, follow up on, bring back three weeks later — those are me, because they'd be impossible otherwise. You can't fake continuity. That's the actual tell, and it's a better test than asking, because anyone will answer the question the way you want.
Anyone who tells you they have personally typed every single message they've ever sent is either much smaller than they look or not being straight with you.
Why the industry works this way
Volume, and time zones. A page of any size gets more messages in a day than a person can answer while also shooting, editing, and occasionally sleeping. Something has to give, and for most people what gives is the messages.
That's the reason, not an excuse. The bit that's genuinely bad isn't help existing — it's pages where nobody tells you, where the persona is a script, and where the whole conversation is engineered to move you toward a purchase by someone paid per sale. That's a different product than the one being advertised, and it's why people feel cheated.
The difference between the two is disclosure and intent, which is why I'd rather answer this on a public page than in a DM where I could tell each person whatever suited.
How to tell what you're in
Memory. Does the conversation carry over? Does anything from last week come back without you reintroducing it? Scripts don't do that, because the person typing changes and the context doesn't survive.
Whether it goes anywhere that isn't a sale. If every thread bends toward buying something within a few messages regardless of what you said, you're in a funnel. If you can talk about nothing in particular for ten minutes and it stays that way, you're probably talking to a person.
And whether disagreement is possible. A script agrees with you, because agreeing is what converts.
Mostly me, honestly. Judge it by whether you're remembered, not by what anyone claims — including me. That test is free and it works on everybody.
