People hold this worry quietly. They never quite ask, they just get careful in a way you can feel. So: no. Nobody gets told. Not me, not a counter somewhere, not a report at the end of the month. Here's why, and here's the thing that actually matters instead.
There's no detection, and there structurally can't be
The comparison everyone has in their head is Snapchat, which does notify. That works because Snapchat is an app you install, running on your device, allowed to watch what your device is doing.
OnlyFans is a website in a browser. The site sends a page to your device and the relationship ends there — it has no visibility into what your phone or computer does with it afterwards. A screenshot is your operating system's business, not the website's. There's no hook for the site to listen to.
So it isn't that they've chosen not to build the feature. There isn't a feature to build from where they're standing.
Why everyone assumes otherwise
Partly Snapchat, which trained a whole generation to expect it. Partly because a lot of people's mental model of "an app" doesn't distinguish between a website and an installed app, and the distinction is exactly what decides this.
And partly, honestly, because the ambiguity is useful to some people. A vague implication that creators can see does discourage reposting. I'd rather not run on a bluff — mostly because the people it actually deters are the anxious ones who were never going to repost anything, while the people who do repost worked out the truth years ago.
The thing that does matter
Keeping something for yourself isn't a scandal and it isn't what anyone is worried about. Nobody is upset that you have a picture in your camera roll.
Putting it somewhere else is a completely different act. That's the thing that damages people, that's the thing that makes creators quit, and it's not detected by a notification either — it's noticed later, by someone, usually after it's spread.
So the honest position is: the technical answer is no, nobody is told, and the request is a request rather than a threat. Most people are decent about it when you talk to them like adults.
No alerts, no counters, no notification. It's a browser, not Snapchat, and it can't see your device. Stop worrying about the screenshot and just don't repost — that's the only part anyone ever actually cared about.
